The Department of Home Science was stated in 1993 at +2 level for girl students only. Initially there were 24 seats but later it was enhanced to 48. There has been only one Lecturer in the person of Dr. (Mrs.) Binita Nanda and one Demonstrator named Mrs. SanjubalaSahoo. The students are offered Home Science as one of their optional subject. A Student named Ms. Sunita Rout, who had Home Science as an optional subject secured 8th position in the +2 CHSE Examination of 1998. Regular study tours are conducted by the Department. The College authorities and the management have provided the Department with a good laboratory for practical work. In 2015 Home Science was introduced in +3 level with 32 nos. of Pass seats.
